Alabama Congressional District 6
This district covers much of suburban Jefferson County, including Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, and Trussville, plus Shelby County and several central Alabama counties. It generally does not include most of Birmingham itself.
Alabama Congressional District 7
This district includes most of Birmingham, Bessemer, and nearby western Jefferson County communities such as Fairfield, Midfield, Brighton, and Lipscomb. It also extends through much of Alabama's Black Belt and part of Tuscaloosa County.

Statewide Constitutional Amendments (4)
Every Jefferson County voter will see these four statewide questions. Open a question to read a neutral summary; the official ballot language controls.
Amendment 1: Replacing a Lieutenant Governor and legislative spending
If the Lieutenant Governor leaves office early, this would create a way for voters to elect a replacement. It would also let lawmakers set certain salaries and require approval before legislative travel is paid for with legislative funds.
Amendment 2: Combining neighboring county school systems
This would set rules for combining two or more neighboring county school systems. Before that could happen, there would be a study, public notice, a way for people to object, and state education rules.
Amendment 3: Daily pledge and student-led prayer in public schools
This would require school boards to have students say the Pledge of Allegiance each school day. It would also allow students to start and lead prayers in public K-12 schools.
Amendment 4: Weekly national anthem in public schools
This would require public K-12 schools to play or arrange a performance of the first verse of the Star-Spangled Banner at least once a week.
